Town of Evans Planning Department

The role of planning in the Town of Evans has diversified to include issues related to long-term Comprehensive planning and zoning, as well as the day-to-day issues associated with growth and development. The Town has adopted a Comprehensive Plan, a Local Waterfront Revitalization Program and an Agricultural Protection Plan, and we are working toward the implementation of the recommendations contained in these documents.

With the support and leadership of Town administrators, we are continuously improving our ability to provide effective planning services to the Town's business community and its residents. The Planning Division is committed to assisting applicants through the development review process. Anyone wishing to submit an application is encouraged to contact the Planning Division to set-up a pre-application meeting. This meeting will help you identify what forms and other information is needed to complete an application. This will help you avoid providing unnecessary or incorrect information that could prolong the review process. We look forward to assisting you to facilitate and expedite the process.

    • The New York State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Process
    • The Town of Evans Comprehensive Plan
    • Development in the Local Waterfront Revitalization Area

    • Town of Evans Stormwater Management

Evans Planning Board Meeting - June 22 2022 RESCHEDULED FOR JULY 13th

Planning Board Meeting scheduled for June 22nd has been RESCHEDULED for Wednesday, July 13th at 7pm.
**If you have already registered to view live stream the meeting originally scheduled for June 22nd you will need to re-register to view live stream the meeting to be held on July 13th.**
The Evans Planning Board will be meeting on Wednesday, June 22 2022 at 6pm.

Public Meetings are conducted solely for the pre-determined action item(s) listed on the official Planning Board Agenda and/or any other business that may be presently before the Planning Board as advertised.

No other unrelated items may be discussed or brought before the Planning Board at Public Meeting.
That being said, if any resident wishes to comment on any action at Public Meeting, it is their right to do so when the floor is opened to the public; if participating virtually, we ask that you raise your hand and we will call on you accordingly. We also ask that all please be considerate of any background noise so that Board members can communicate effectively; if it is not your turn to speak, please mute your phone or the microphone on your computer.
